Any news with regards to Unicode (Chinese Japanese Korean) support in FreeICE please?
This is the only thing stopping me (amongst many others I am sure) from using FreeICE
Problems -
1. When a folder contains another folder whose name is in Unicode, you can't go into the folder. And most of the buttons will stop working (e.g. Directory Up button). And if you managed to go into one of the folders somehow (like C:\ for example), and managed to add a particular Unicode song to the playlist, it still won't play - the player just skips the track.
2. If the system locale is changed to one of the Unicode languages (e.g. Japanese), then you can go into a folder in the same language, and the player will play the tracks. But, the content of the ID3 tags will not be shown. And this workaround only support 1 language at a time, which is less than ideal.
WMP itself displays and plays correctly. Flash also displays Unicode correctly when browsing websites.
I have not tried the Video bit yet, but I will do so very shortly.
