Whats next ?

Well I'm having a day or so break then going to look at adding a nice picture / slideshow player and I want to take another look at the playlists.. more how they are saved and reloaded (effects startup times) If I can get it to save in the right format then you should be able to save playlists and just load them up when you want.. ie, the whole of your music.. which would load then lots quicker.. anyway thats the aim for next week. I also want to release skin components and maybe even do a little movie on how to skin freeice. I also want to do a little bit more or on the skin commands it accepts and how the format works for things like playlist / dirlists etc..

So I havent stopped coding, just planning the next stage. I will also be moving over to the FreeDrive forums ready for the FreeICE 1.0 Release..

Steve

By the way, i know you say D7 doesn' work with it yet, but in what way?

Is it that when you load D7 it works the first time, then when you go back its just a blank screen? (Does this for me) I found that if i click on D7 again from the task bar, it comes up again. I don't know if you can code it so, if the app is running, just call it up again or something like that.

Any way keep on rocking.

Likewise, think i posted on the other thread, D7 sits nicely over the top of freeice, just leaving the bottom row of butons showing nicely... (On laptop) but in the car it keeps dissapearing underneath and you have to bring it to the top again. Cant work out the differences between the two computers, except ones running xp(carpc) and the lappy is on vista ultimate. Same settings in freeice.

Excellent work so far though, and really like version 0.9 with the single track add function.

P.s. i really think you need a donate button somewhere on yer site, After all the work youve done for the comunity. If not now sometime soon, So when people have tried it they can come back if they want to, and give a little something back.

Just a quick question CDR, are you planning to add support for remotes, eg Girdir or straight powermate? not an urgent request just curious really as i currently use a powermate to control RR, which is cool.

Having spoken to CdR he says he will be adding keystroke control and SDK control, CdR will probably make his USB Controller Software compatible with FI, using the SDK/keypresses it will automatically be Girder compatible.
