I downloaded FI 1.91 to try it out, g8 looking FE.

I want to use MS Autoroute 2007 as the GPS. I changed the ini file to point to it and it loads up when starting FI but stays in the background. Also when I click the the Navi button it then loads the GPS sotware again which also stays in the background. It does this each time the navi button is pressed leaving numerous amounts of the GPS software started up. I've tried using the r800 X 480 part but it is still the same. Any ideas?

This is the ini file section:-
//embedded apps
gps=GPS,C:\Program Files\Microsoft AutoRoute\autorout.exe -r800x480 -no-safety,1
//starthidden (used to start the above but to hide them. Seperate them with a comma.. ie gps.. use //

Does FI have any visualisations while playing music similar to the ones in WMP. I am using a FE at the moment that has a button to activate it full screen and it looks pretty cool. Could you put this in FI if it hasn't got it?

If it launch's another autoroute and doesnt grab the screen then the name of the app is wrong. Have a look on the taskmanager when autoroute is running and use that name in the gps line.

Yep there is vis in FI.. just double click on the vis on the browser screen. It runs whatever viz is set in wmp.

Have you thought of adding a voice recorder to act as a sort of dictaphone for keeping memos whilst driving?

Hi all long time watcher here but decided to talk up for a change,

Steve fantastic frontend this FreeICE is, truely gensis and so easy to setup puts the others to shame.

I'm looking at the possibility of doing some skinning for it and if there is a FreeICE SDK some guides on making plugins / extending it at all.

The fone function in Freeice connects automatically to my SE W880i via BT com port.
The music mutes and the dialer appears when an incoming call is present.

Is there a way to make the dialer appear so that I can use it to dial out, is there a button somewhere or someway of calling up the phone dialer?
