FreeIce running slow..

Hey Cdr,

I installed v1.7 on my Epia SP mother board, first it did not have flash, as the buttons didn't have any images on them. But now it does.

Is there anything else it needs?

Has 512 Ram, and on Windows.

Cheers.

FreeICE runs slow on my Epia SP too. i have found a way to speed it up abit. i took out the transitions in the swf file, which you can grab the modified swf below, its v1.3 so it doesnt have all the latest feature but does improve the speed and the load on the cpu

main v1.3 with no transition effects

i used cdrs 1.3 source file and i selected every item in the the library while having the timeline open. at that point you can visually see the transitions in the timeline and i made sure that the point were the transition ends has a keyframe, then i deleted the transition

just to throw in my 2c worth....FreeIce runs like a dog on my M10000 also. It uses about 50% CPU while idle and ~80% while playing a song. All transitions are laggy and scrolling the playlist is painful.

Not necessarily blaming the app, given the vintage of the CPU, but i recon there's at least some optimisation that could occur.
